HEC can change dates. "Tentative" dates in particular often move by a few days. Always check the ETC announcements page before you pay or travel.

Where we are right now

As of 18 October 2026, the 4th sitting is next. Registration for it is closed, roll number slips are out, and the test is on 25 October 2026. If you missed it, the 5th and last sitting of the year is on 13 December 2026.

Which sitting should you pick?

In my opinion, pick the one that gives you at least 6 to 8 weeks to prepare, and make sure the result comes before your university's admission deadline. Many students take the test too early, get a weak score, and then have to pay and wait again. A good score in a later sitting is better than a poor score in an early one.

When registration opens, follow our registration guide. Also remember that most universities only take the score within its validity period, so check your university's rules before you choose a date. HEC says USAT is valid for 1 year and HAT for 2 years.
