Next USAT and HAT Test Date: 13 December 2026 (Registration 8 to 22 November)

If you missed the October test, the next USAT and HAT is on Sunday 13 December 2026. Registration opens on 8 November and closes on 22 November 2026. That gives you about 2 months to prepare, which is honestly enough if you start now.

December 2026 USAT and HAT schedule

The dates are the same for USAT and for HAT (MS and MPhil). This is the last USAT and HAT of 2026.

How to register

1. Make an account on the ETC portal at etc.hec.gov.pk once registration opens.
2. Choose USAT or HAT and pick your subject group or category.
3. Pay the fee with the payment code the portal gives you.
4. Keep your payment receipt safe until the result comes.

Need help with the form? Follow our step by step USAT and HAT registration guide.

Do not wait for the last day. The portal gets slow near the deadline and many students miss it every time.

A simple 8 week plan

• Weeks 1 to 2: Do 1 full mock paper to see where you stand. Then revise your weakest part first.
• Weeks 3 to 5: Do short practice sets every day. Mix verbal, maths and your subject.
• Weeks 6 to 7: Do 3 full timed papers every week. Read the explanation of every wrong answer.
• Week 8: Only light revision and 1 or 2 papers. Sleep well before the test.

For full papers, use our free USAT mock papers with HEC sample questions. USAT students should also write 1 practice essay every week. The writing part is easy marks if you practice it, and hard if you don't.

Is the December HAT good for scholarships?

For most university admissions, yes. But for the Commonwealth Scholarship 2027, the last HAT that counts is the one on 25 October 2026. A December score will go to the next year's batch. More on that in our Commonwealth Scholarship post.
