The HEC USAT test is on Sunday 25 October 2026. Roll number slips are out now. HEC says they have been generated, so log in to the ETC portal and download yours today. You have 1 week left, so this is the time to practice full papers, not to start new topics.
Update 18 October 2026: HEC has generated the USAT roll number slips. If you cannot see yours, contact HEC at onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk with your payment receipt.
I have put all the important USAT dates in one place below. I checked them with the official HEC website and the revised HEC test calendar.
USAT October 2026 dates at a glance
| What | Date |
|---|---|
| Registration closed | Friday 2 October 2026 |
| Roll number slip | Out now (generated by HEC) |
| USAT test day | Sunday 25 October 2026 |
| Result | Around 16 November 2026 (tentative) |
HEC moved these dates on 25 August 2026. If you saw a different USAT date on an old calendar, that one is out of date.
How to download your USAT roll number slip
- Go to the ETC portal at etc.hec.gov.pk.
- Log in with the same email and password you used to register.
- Open your USAT application and download the roll number slip.
- Check your name, CNIC number, subject group and test centre.
- Print it. You must bring a printed copy on test day.
If your slip is not there and you paid the fee, contact HEC at onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk and keep your payment receipt with you.
What to bring on USAT test day
- Printed roll number slip
- Original CNIC or passport (if you are under 18, bring your B-Form and your result card)
- Black or blue ball pen for the answer sheet
Do not bring your phone, smart watch or calculator. Reach your test centre at least 45 minutes early. Many students lose time just finding the room.
What comes in the USAT paper
The USAT has MCQs on verbal (English), quantitative (maths) and your own subject group, like Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Computer Science, Arts or Commerce. After the MCQs there is a short writing part with essays. Many students skip essay practice and lose easy marks there. See the full USAT paper pattern and our USAT essay guide.
My advice for the last week
At this point reading new books will not help much. What helps is doing full timed papers and checking every wrong answer. Do one full USAT mock test every day or every second day. After each test, read the explanation of every question you got wrong. Also write at least 3 practice essays in the time limit, so the writing part does not surprise you on the day. I made a full 7 day plan and test day checklist for this week. Quick revision help: verbal tips and maths formulas.
Missed the October USAT?
Do not worry. The next USAT is on Sunday 13 December 2026. Registration opens on 8 November and closes on 22 November 2026. You can read all the details in our post on the December 2026 USAT and HAT.
